Below is a link to another Monbiot log. He mentions the need for a 90% carbon cut by 2030. I'm not about to dispute the numbers - everyone could go on for days - but even if it's remotely close, then conservation and renewables all seem paltry. Daniel Quinn, anyone? Richard Manning? I can throw a spear.
